Patton and the Tiger

Somewhere in Europe a tiger prowls,
You'll only know it when you hear his growls.
Crawling on his belly, he lies in wait,
And outsmarts the hunter's bait.

Beware you hunters from across the seas,
The tiger waits for you behind the trees.
He mimics a bush and a tree at will,
But his roar that kills is his greatest skill.

Run hunters! Run! You can't win the fight,
The only ones that can help are those with flight.
But even they can't find the tiger with haste,
Who has now left villages to burn and waste.

From every nation a village he has shred,
Every hunter has been left for dead.
There's no one to stop the tiger's rage
And place the monster in his cage.

But across the ocean and on his way,
The great hunter Patton comes on D-Day.
Tiger! Your reign of terror I can not allow,
I will kill you today, this I vow.

The tiger watches wearing a bush for a mask.
Who is this Patton the tiger ask?
I'll take him down with a blow from my claw,
And tear off his head with my bare paw.

The tiger pounces thinking it will end quick,
But Patton stands and pulls out his trick.
With an aim of his gun he pulls the trigger,
And that is the sudden end of what was once rigger.

Hooray say the people, he's answered our prayer,
All hail the great tiger slayer.
The hunters are free to hunt their prey,
Knowing there can be no more dismay.
This is a war poem I did on the Tiger tank and General Paton, the greatest tank commander ever.

Well, the Tiger wasn't actually the ONLY over-engineered tank of the war, and Germany was not the only country to have them. In fact, England, Russia, and the US had some over-engineered tanks too. For example, the Soviet KV-6 super heavy tank, the American T-28/95 heavy tank destroyer, the British A39 Tortoise heavy tank destroyer, and the the rest of the German super heavies, the Maus, E-100, and the Lowe. These were experimental tanks and all but one didn't see actual service. The KV-6 was the only experimental super heavy to actually see service, but all three prototypes were destroyed, one during training, and two accidentally.

KV-6 #1. Rear turret (the third turret of the triple turret monster) shot into the back of the main turret, exploding the ammo inside and destroying the entire vehicle.

KV-6 #2. Drove over a 15 foot wide ravine and the mass of the main turret caused the vehicle to break into two pieces.

KV-6 #3. Had all turret guns shoot at a German tank and the powerful recoil produced by the two 153mm howitzers and 76mm guns cause the entire vehicle to flip onto it's side.

A small, but educating history lesson. Sorry if I bored you to death XD
